On Our Way ...



Good Morning from Chicago ... we have been up since 2 AM ...


Well, the actual journey has begun. We have completed the easy part of our journey today and are now in Chicago. We have connected with one of the families from our agency. They will be going from Beijing to a different province and then we will meet up with us in Guanzhou.

    Thanks for sharing your journey with us! Congratulations and safe travels! Some of my students did a project on adoption from China last year, and they are excited to hear about your experience (I hope you don't mind me sharing!)!! Enjoy the adventure and I can't wait to meet Luolin!

    You gotta love those webcam pictures ! You need to practice how you are going to fit another head in your family pictures !! :)

    Up since 2am? The kids look wide awake! What an awesome adventure for your family. I recently read the book "Digging to America" about two families that adopt babies from Korea. They meet their new babies and each other at the airport and decide to keep in touch as the children grow. Every year the families get together and celebrate what they call Arrival Day by watching the video recording of the meeting and they sing the song "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain."
    Safe travels to you all and enjoy the anticipation.
