Tuesday's Free Time ...

On Tuesday we met up with another family and went shopping and sightseeing just off the islands we are staying on. We didn't last too long as the kids were getting tired and there were many, many people out. Something that is accepted in the Chinese culture is starting and touching other people's children. Luo got quite upset when a group swarmed around her and begin chatting in Chinese and touching her ... we headed back to the safety of the hotel after that!

  1. Dear Mrs. Webster,

How's Loulin? How is Loulin's swimming? Did you drink any of the water? If you did, are you okay? Did you enjoy going swimming? Are Lou's temper tantrums really bad? Do you read books to Loulin? How many English words has Loulin learned? How is Dylan and Lauren? What is it like in China?

We would like to know if you can come visit us when you get home. We would love to see you and Luolin. Could you bring things to show us from China?

    Love,
    Ms. Simpson's Class

  2. Missy,

It was so good to see you both. Loulin is just as beautiful on the big screen as she is in pics. I picked a good day to do "bus" stuff. The students were so excited to see you. We all bragged about it all day. Too bad that ALL the students couldn't enjoy the experience. It was a real treat. Enjoy the rest of your visit.

    love,
    lisa
